Who are we

The aims of the Society are:

  • To bring together those people wishing to share a common interest in stereoscopic imaging techniques.
  • To promote the use of photographic and other image recording techniques, which present to the viewer a stereoscopic representation of the recorded image.
  • To improve the knowledge and abilities of the members (of the Society) both in the fields of photographic technique and stereoscopic technique.
  • To encourage and promote the stereoscopic activities of the members of the Society by various means.
  • Governance

The activities of the Victorian 3D Society Incorporated are governed by the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012,
MODEL RULES For an INCORPORATED ASSOCIATION.

Prior to July 1999, the Society was an un-Incorporated Society. For historical purposes, the old Constitution of that Society is also maintained, although it has no relevance to the current governance of the Incorporation.
It is available on the original website of the Society which has also been made available here for historical purposes.

    Membership

Both individual memberships and family memberships are available. Membership entitles members to show images on one of the finest stereo projection screens in the southern hemisphere and also provides access to other members, who are all willing and keen to share their expertise, ideas and experiences.
Please print off a Membership Application Form available on this web site. The membership fee is currently A$35 per year for individuals and A$40.00 for a family.

    Meetings

The Club has General and Competition Meetings during the year, on the first Monday of the month (except January). Guests are always most welcome. Meetings commence at 8:00pm, and are located at:

    A map is attached.

At General and Competition Meetings, we project digital images. A special feature show usually takes most of this time. In addition, an exhibition is run each meeting, where Members can submit digital images for the exhibition subject. Members can also bring along images to have them projected if they would like to do so. Guests are always welcome.

Committee Meetings are held six times per year in every odd-numbered month. Any club member may attend Committee Meetings.

    Activities

Apart from our regular meetings every month, we are also participants in the National Stereo Convention. This is a 3 day event that occurs every second year and it involves photo excursions and shows presented by members of the Victorian 3D Society, the Sydney Stereo Camera Club and members of overseas clubs.

We also arrange workshops of topics of interest to members and excursions.
